Pattaya Beach and Nearby Beaches

Being a seaside resort, the adjoining beaches of Pattaya City, from Naklua Bay to Wong Prachan and Wong Amat beaches in the north down to Jomtien and Na Jomtien beaches in the south, cover a total length of about 20 kilometres.

Pattaya Beach is divided into north, central and south zones

North Pattaya features several types of beachfront accommodations, entertainment complexes and restaurants. It is the most quiet beach of all the three beaches of Pattaya. It is a nice spot for swimming and sunbathing.

Central Pattaya is the most popular beach with its beautiful brown sandy beach, accommodations options and all types of facilities you can imagine. At the end of North Pattaya, you will find the golden mermaid and dolphins marking the start of the beach of Central Pattaya. This area offers a wide variety of the beach activities such as jet ski, banana boat and paragliding and numerous convenient stores, fast-food restaurant, coffee shops, cafes, beer bars, and tour agencies.

South Pattaya is also called Walking Street which is crowded with pedestrians, especially in the evening. Bars and nightclubs are densely located here along with restaurants. It is very famous for nightlife activities. The area has numerous shops and a wide variety of leisure and entertainment activities to offer to the tourists along its 500 metres long walking street.

Jomtien Beach is a straight 6 km. sandy beach located about 2 km. from South Pattaya. Its long straight coastline with a fringe of palm trees offers vacationers a pleasant atmosphere for relaxing and viewing the sun setting in the sea. Its calm sea is also suitable for swimming and playing all kinds of water sports. It is a very popular windsurfing spot. Despite the fact that property development of high-rise condominiums, hotels and resorts is burgeoning in this area, Jomtien beach is still peaceful and popular amongst the Bangkokians and foreign travellers. There are restaurants and cafes along the beach for tourists to enjoy fresh seafood with a nice sea view.

Na Jomtien Beach ( 4 km south of Pattaya city ) Its quiet 6-km long beach, connecting to Jomtien Beach to the south, is another popular location for Thais and foreigners seeking for privacy, Hotels are situated right on this beach without a public road in between. And most of them feature private beach. It is also suitable for those who are family oriented.



Pattaya hill ( Khao Phra Bat ) is a vantage point to get the best panoramic view of the curved bay of Pattaya either in the day or at night. It is also famous for its beautiful sunset. On the top of the hill is situated a statue of HRH Prince of Jumborn, the father of the Rayal Thai Navy.

The million Years Stone Park & Pattaya Crocodile  Farm An over-100-rai Park&Farm, 15 minutes' drive from the centre of Pattaya, featuring curios and beautiful things of different types: crocodiles in their natural surroundings, a zoo of wild animals, award winning trained trees, a million-year-old petrified tree and hundreds of huge, grotesque rocks. Man-catching crocodile show and magic shows are performed daily.

Cabaret Shows Fantastic, exquisite and unique, the cabaret shows are famous throughout the country and are known worldwide. Here, female dancers are so pretty, lovely and attractive. But they ain't female at all! Alcazar Cabaret Pattaya is one of the best transvestite cabaret show in Thailand.

Ripley's Believe It or Not! A fascinating assortment of weird but wonderful exhibits from all parts of the globe can now be found at Ribley's Believe It or Not! in Pattaya. They include genuinely puzzling facts, curios, illusions, etc., proving once again that fact is stranger than fiction!

Wat Yannasangwararam A royal temple dedicated to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Located 20 km. to the south of Pattaya, the park-like temple is scenic and tranquil and consists of several beautiful buildings.

Wihan Sian ( Anekkuson Sala ) Built in the vicinity of Wat Yannasangwararam to be dedicated to HM King Bhumibol in 1987, Wihan Sian is an epitome of the harmonious blend of Buddhist beliefs, Taoism and Confucianism.

Sriracha Tiger Zoo The world's greatest tiger zoo in a natural atmosphere where you can hold, feed and take photos with baby tigers. Watch a sow looking after tiger cubs. See how tiger, pig and dog live together peacefully. View a large number of Scorpions on ladies' bodies. Witness a croccodile wrestling show by lady performers. Enjoy animal shows at the Amazing Circus.

Pattaya Dolphin World features the fascinating dolphin shows and other outdoor activities such as rope jumps as well as other entertaining performances. There are five shows daily, starting from 9 am to 5 pm with the length of 45 minutes.

Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden Only 18 km. from Pattaya, it's a paradise on earth with amazing variety of plants in many photogenic garden settings. You can also enjoy daily cultural shows and elephant shows and delicious Thai food here.

Khao Chi Chan's Engraved Buddha Image This is the biggest carved Buddha image in the world, 109 metre high and 70 metre wide. It was carved by laser beams on the cliff of Chi Chan mountain in 1996 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of His Majesty's Accession to the throne.

Koh Lan is located about 7 km. off the coast of Pattaya Beach. There are six beaches on this little island that boasts white sand and clear blue water. There are many activities here for visitors to enjoy, such as parasailing, snorkelling, jet ski, and banana boat. Accommodations are also available on this island.
